What is Orika Mexican Seasoning-
The Orika All-Purpose Mexican Seasoning is a blend of herbs & spices: onion, chili, coriander, garlic, black pepper, fenugreek, cumin, aniseed, cinnamon, basil, bay leaf, oregano.
It gives a spicy, warm taste with a heady aroma (especially chili + roasted cumin) and can be used for tacos, Mexican rice, fries, snacks, fajitas.
MEXCIAN STYLE CHICKEN FAJITAS

- Garlic cloves (minced) – 1-2
- Fresh coriander / cilantro – chopped, to garnish
- Sour cream / yoghurt, salsa, guacamole for serving
Method
- Marinate chicken: In a bowl, mix sliced chicken with 1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp Orika seasoning + a little salt & pepper. Let it sit 15-30 minutes if possible.
- Prepare veggies: Slice bell peppers and onion. If using garlic, mince it.
- Cook chicken: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken, cook until it's almost done and nicely browned, 5-7 mins. Remove from pan, keep aside.
- Saute vegetables: In same pan, add another drizzle of oil, sauté onions, bell peppers (and garlic if using) till they soften but still crisp (don’t overcook).
- Combine: Return chicken to the pan with veggies, sprinkle remaining Orika seasoning, stir well to coat, cook another 2-3 mins till chicken fully done and flavours combine.
- Serve: Warm the tortillas. Fill with chicken + veggies. Top with chopped cilantro, a squeeze of lime, salsa, sour cream etc.
